MetaMask stores your vault encrypted with your password using PBKDF2-SHA256 (older versions) or Argon2 (newer). We support all three hashcat modes:

We extract hashes from MetaMask vault data (browser extension storage, LevelDB files) and run targeted attacks. If you have partial password knowledge (approximate length, known characters, language), success probability increases dramatically.

What Helps Us Crack Your Wallet
